Business communication
About this module
In this experiential learning module on Business Communication, the learner takes on the role of a corporate communications specialist at Monarchy Technology, a firm that has designed and developed an AI-powered candidate assessment tool for Fortune 1000 organizations. The newest version of their application claims to increase diversity in hiring through a proprietary algorithm that collects and analyzes candidate data. However, Eidos Logistics, one of Monarchy’s largest clients, has recently compiled an analysis and found that diversity in hiring decreased when the application was used.
The learner enters the narrative as a new member of the corporate communications team tasked with investigating Eidos’s findings by gathering information from internal and external stakeholders. The learner will need to navigate the equity, diversity, and inclusion challenges facing the firm and ultimately, use their findings to update an executive audience on this developing situation.
